Hey everybody! Today I wanted to share with you my new favorite room of the house: Olivia’s nursery. I had so much fun decorating this space and now I just want to hang out in here all of the time. Baby girl isn’t sleeping in her nursery quite yet but we bring her in here frequently for diaper changes, play time, and to rock and read books. I’m planning on getting her to nap in here at least once a day soon so that when the time comes, the transition to sleep in her nursery will (hopefully) be easier.
As soon as I found out I was having a girl, I envisioned this vintage floral wallpaper on the wall. I loved that it was a statement piece that really makes an impact when you walk in the room. The wallpaper set the tone for the rest of the room which ended up being a floral and deer theme. After that, I stumbled upon this fawn bedding from Oilo Studio that I absolutely fell in love with. I loved the colors and the images and thought it was perfect for Olivia’s nursery. The bedroom set was purchased on sale at Buy Buy Baby. I thought the pretty gray color would pop against the floral background and I was right! Then I chose a glider in a lighter shade of gray for all of the baby snuggles.
The rest of the decor was fairly easy to pick out and find. I purchased a lot of the items from Etsy, then hung them up myself. I decided to add these 3D paper butterflies from Etsy on the wall in the corner of the room to decorate that space in an interesting way. The sign hanging above her crib was also custom made from Etsy. The bookshelves were purchased from Ikea and the curtains were from Home Goods. Finally, I added a rug from Rugs USA to break up all of the gray that we had going in there. Overall, I’m super happy with how the room came out and I can’t wait till Livi gets to spend more time in here.
